Bicycle Mechanic – Roanoke Mountain Adventures
Location: Roanoke, VA
Position Type: Hourly (20 to 40 hours/week)
Compensation: Competitive salary based upon experience
Roanoke Mountain Adventures is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bicycle Mechanic to join our team! We have a growing bike and e-bike service department that prides itself on fixing bikes to suit customers' needs, not just replacing parts and running up big tabs.
What You’ll Do:

Problem-solve to fix a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes.

Work closely with a small, collaborative bike service and service-writing / retail team to deliver great value and personal service to our customers.

Build new bikes and e-bikes; refurbish and restore used bikes.

Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask

Electric bike experience / willingness to learn
Schedule:

Part-Time Tour Guide – Roanoke Mountain Adventures
Location: Roanoke, VA
Position Type: Part-Time (based upon demand, not regularly scheduled hours)
Compensation: Hourly wage plus tips & bonus pay
Roanoke Mountain Adventures is looking for someone with experience leading groups in an outdoor environment to assist with our guided outings and tours! If you have a flexible schedule and/or have availability during high-demand times (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), this is a great opportunity to earn great money (including large group tips) while showing people around Roanoke's amazing outdoor scenery.
What You’ll Do:

Prepare electric bikes and mountain bikes for group use

Provide welcoming customer care and safety instruction

Lead group outings on electric bike tours, mountain bike tours, and/or guided hikes

Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for biking and for the city of Roanoke!
What We’re Looking For:

Strong customer service and communication skills

Comfortable working in an outdoor setting + experience leading groups in outdoor situations

Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask

Some experience with bike maintenance and mountain biking is preferred
-
Knowledge of local greenways, trails, and general area is preferred
-
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to achieve basic certification)

Part-Time Retail Associate – Roanoke Mountain Adventures

Position Type: Part-Time (15 to 30 hours/week)

Roanoke Mountain Adventures is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Retail Associate to join our team! If you love the outdoors and enjoy helping others gear up for adventure, this is a great opportunity to be part of a small, friendly team in a fun, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:

Assist customers with gear rentals, purchases, and general inquiries

Work closely with a small team to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shop environment

Restock merchandise and manage point-of-sale transactions

Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for biking, climbing, paddling, and other outdoor activities
What We’re Looking For:

Strong customer service and communication skills

Comfortable working in a retail/shop setting with a small team

Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask

Some experience or interest in outdoor recreation (biking, climbing, paddling, etc.) is preferred
Schedule:

Flexible scheduling between 15 and 30 hours per week
